Raut reviews Swami Vivekanand Memorial project progress

Inspection of Vivekand Statue

The Chairman of NMC’s Standing Committee Sudhir Raut visited the Ambazari Lake overflow site and reviewed the progress of under-construction Swami Vivekanand Memorial project. A life-size statue of Swami Vivekanand is being installed at the site.

Raut took rounds of the site and inspected the progress of memorial’s island, AMP Theatre, MS Bridge, Artificial Island, and other civil works. Most of these works have been completed with horticulture and tile work on footpaths remaining. The electrification and colouring of approach bridge as well as beautification is undergoing. Raut directed the contractor to complete the entire project within the stipulated time.

Other dignitaries who accompanied Raut include former Chairman of Standing Committee Ramesh Singare, Health Committee Chairman Devendra Meher, Medical Officer Dr Pradeep Dasarwar, Veterinary Officer Dr Gajendra Mahalle, Praful Farkase, Rajesh Hathibed, and the contractors Vakilsingh and Pritkumarsingh.
