Ranveer Singh will soon start working on the promotions of his next magnum opus, Padmavati, but at the same time, he’s busy prepping up for his role in Kabir Khan’s next. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan director recently announced his next project based on India’s victory in 1983 Cricket World Cup and Ranveer Singh will play the protagonist in the movie.
He will essay the role of the then captain, Kapil Dev and we are sure his preparations for the same will be quite intense. It’s a sports biopic and they are often the toughest to crack. Especially for an actor to get the same physique as an athlete is quite a pain. We know the hard work that Priyanka Chopra and Sushant Singh Rajput had to put in to get into the characters of Mary Kom and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. And for someone like Ranveer Singh, whose dedication is at par, such intense efforts are a necessity.
Ranveer Singh still has few more days in his hand before he gets occupied with Padmavati promotions and he isn’t someone who will waste even a single second of his entire day. With no other major projects in hand, has RS started his preparation for the ’83 World Cup movie? The actor was spotted at a football ground in Bandra last evening and that could be his practice for the sports biopic, right? Though he will start his actual training in the sport a bit later, this could be just the beginning. Playing a sportsperson isn’t as easy as one-two-three. Your fitness has to be exceptionally high and we are sure RS will ensure he gets it right. He was later seen practicing football on the field with fellow actor Dino Morea.
Football, as a sport, is currently an obsession with all our Bollywood stars. Right from Ranbir Kapoor to his cousin, Aadar Jain, Dino Morea and others often meet, sometimes once every week, to practice and unleash their love for the sport. Recently a celebrity football match, too, was organised between Bollywood actors and Indian Cricketers, the latter emerging as the winners. So if Ranveer continues his practice, should we assume him to join Ranbir in the sport? If yes, it would be interesting to see these guys play against each other.
