Nagpur News:  Disclosing no names, MP Vilas Muttemwar said, “A former regional president of Congress had gone to attend dinner at the residence of Nitin Gadkari. He was accompanied by Baburao Tidke. The person who was given the post of regional president twice requests an Opposition leader to take care of his son. This is shameful.” He was targeting Ranjit Deshmukh and and Baburao Tidke who both were present during the programme.

“The Congress workers are loyal. It’s the leaders who do the leakages. They shake hands with the BJP for personal gains. Such leaders are seen in Congress rallies in the afternoon and at the residences of BJP leaders in the evening,” opined senior Congress leaders on the last day of training camp organised for party workers, on Friday.

“Such leaders are a threat for the party. This should be stopped,” they said.

The district Congress Committee had organised a 3-day training camp for the party workers that concluded on Friday. The last day’s session was addressed by deputy speaker of Vidhan Sabha Vasant Purke, revenue minister Balasaheb Thorat, cooperation minister Hashwardhan Patil, MP Vilas Muttemwar and MLA Sunil Kedar.

MP Mukul Wasnik, former regional president Ranjit Deshmukh, Baurao Tidke, member of Central OBC Commission Deepak Katole, district Congress chief Sunita Gawande, Baburao Zade, Chandrapal Choukse, Ramtek Lok Sabha president of Youth Congress Kunda Raut and others were present during the programme.

Harshwardhan Patil and Balasaheb Thorat explained government schemes on the occasion.

Vasant Purke said, “The underground leakages have increased these days. “Leaders of mentality ‘you take care of me and I will take yours’ are damaging the party. The valuation of work done by the party workers should also be done. The average party worker won’t get justice if this is not done.”

He further said that the average party worker needs more attention. If he doesn’t get proper attention, he tries to search for other avenues.

MP Vilas Muttemwar, “There are many people inside the party who shake hands with the Opposition for personal gains. People like these are responsible for defeats.”

MP Wasnik said that rural Congress Committee should be strengthened if we want to strengthen Congress. “Booth-level agent should be appointed for the same,” he said.
