Rangrasiya theatrical group ready to surprise Nagpurians with their experiment!

Blend of Parsi Theatre and Indian Folk Music, Nagpur’s ‘Rangrasiya’ theatrical group is ready to execute their unique experiential play.

Nagpur News : The artists of ‘Rangrasiya’ theatrical group are all set to surprise the theater lovers and giving them a chance to witness something which never happened in drama world. Young & Energetic group of Nagpur, Rangrasiya theatrical group, coming up with a Hindi musical romantic comedy play, Ishk ke Gadbadjhale on 8th march in scientific Hall, 8 rasta chowk, Laxmi Nagar, Nagpur. The play will be performed by eminent artists of Nagpur city who are doing amateur drama for more than 10 years. This is the first time when the group is doing commercial play. The money generated from the sale of tickets will be donated to “Hinganghat’s Social Group “Save Careers”, who help in educating students from villages & slum areas. Director Sandeep Dabherao has made lovely mixture of Parsi Theater and Indian folk forms in his play. This experiment will be of first kind for Nagpur audience to get a chance of enjoying this nature of play. One more unique thing about the drama is that the drama is of two hours without any interval.

Director of the play Sandeep Dabherao told Nagpur Today that Ishk ke Gadbadjhale, is a unique love story inspired by Shakespeare’s well known stories which will bust you out with laughter to your stomach. He added that denizens of Nagpur will surely enjoy the play and he is looking forward to get the appreciation of people. He also said, as this is a new concept therefore he is little nervous and hoping for positive response from the audience. One more important reason behind organizing this play is that the group wants to create awareness about drama in Nagpur.

Actor Gurav Ambade, who represent Nagpur University and has won the best actor award in inter university drama competition, Ashawari Ramekar, a well known drama artist, Actor Pratik Gaikwad, Ashwini Dikholkar, Mohan kalbande, Brijesh panth,Sanchit  choudhari, Rutuja wankhed will act in the play. Anurag Ladse a renowned musician who represented Nagpur University three times in inter university music competition will perform the folk music.

The members of the group say that there are many talented artists in Nagpur but there is no support, even if they plan to organize drama show here they don’t get sponsors. For “Ishk ke Gadbadjhale” also the artists collected money by themselves. Every artist contributed 500 rs to make this show possible.
