Nagpur: Ramtek Police of Nagpur Rural on Friday raided a gambling den in Khindshi Shivar and arrested 15 gamblers busy in the acts. Cops also seized cash, motorcycles, mobile phones and other material collectively worth Rs 2.73 lakh from the possession of the arrested gamblers.
The raid on gambling den was result of a secret information the Ramtek police received around 7.30 pm on Friday. The arrested gamblers have been identified as Prateek Shriram Taywade, Gajanan Bakaram Lokhande, Soma Dhanoji Shivarkar, Atul Jagdish Wankhede, Prateek Manohar Nimbekar, Naresh Umrao Raut, Shankar Bhaurao Mahure, Harsish Anandrao Sahare, Sachin Gangadhar Patil, Chandrabhan Mohan Shivarkar, Shailendra Bakaram Nagpure, Dhanpal Dhanoji Pillare, Chandrakumar Bapurao Randai, Vishnu Shyamrao Nanhe, and Kamalesh Krushna Nagpure. The seized material include cash of Rs 31,471, 7 motorcycles, 15 mobile phones, playing cards and other material collectively worth Rs 2.73 lakh.
The action was initiated under the directives of SP (Rural) Dr Arti Singh.
