Minister for Public Works Department (Public Undertakings) Jaidutt Kshirsagar and Chairman of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) Jaidutta Kshirsagar reviewed the ongoing construction work of Ram Jhula Iron Cable Suspension Bridge on November 12, 2013. While talking to the media persons, he said that the Ram Jhula Iron Cable Suspension Bridge is going to be inaugurated in the New Year to facilitate smooth traffic between Railway station and Central Avenue. One of the important factors in the development of Nagpur City, the Ram Jhula Iron Cable Suspension Bridge, near Railway station was halted due to some technical reasons.
Now the supply of cable has been fulfilled. The Nagpur Municipal Corporation has initiated talks and co-ordinated the talks between Railway Administration, Traffic Department and Road Development Corporation to smooth things between them. Similarly, in order to prevent traffic congestion and other problems in the smooth flow of traffic, necessary deviations have been set-up by NMC with coordination of traffic department. With all such problems and technical hindrances removed and way paved for rapid finishing of the Ram Jhula Iron Cable Suspension Bridge, the dream to have a hanging Cable Suspension Bridge in the New Year may become a reality soon said Minister for Public Works Department (Public Venture Undertaking) and Chairman of Maharashtra Road Development Corporation Jaidutta Kshirsagar.
Also present on the review of the construction site were, State Minister for Housing, Industries, Social Justice, Sachin Ahir, NMC Commissioner Shyam Warhdane, MLA of Central Nagpur Vikas Khumbare, Executive Engineer of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Lahore, Deputy Engineer Deepti Kale, NCP City President Ajay Patil, NMC City Engineer Sanjay Gaikwad, Sub-Divisional Engineer D D Jambulkar, Branch Engineer Shakeel Niyazi, Rajesh Deshpande and Arun Kumar from Afcons , S B Chaudhari, Ajay Udapure and Rajkumar from Rites company, Traffic Police Inspector Dagubhai Sheikh and others.
