Rakesh Chaurasia, Shivmani add symphony to Khasdar Mahotsav

Nagpur: The Friday evening saw a musical bonanza of the sorts when two of the finest performers turned on to their one of their best musical presentations Khasdar Mahotsav’ at Ishwar Deshmukh College of Physical Education Ground to create a musical aura.

The mesmerising musical fusion was performed by renowned flute maestro Rakesh Chaurasia and drums by Shivmani.
Flautist Rakesh Chaurasia along with the band commenced the musical night with ‘runwaya’, raag Yaman and a ‘night in heaven’s.

Followed by the breathtaking performance, every artist presented a solo play in their unique way. Gino Banks was on Drums, bass guitarist Sheldon D’silva, tabla player Satyajeet Talwarkar, vocalist and keyboard Sangeet Haldipur, guitarist Sanjay Das took the first half of the show to a towering heights.

While each artist was performing a solo instrumental act, a jugalbandi between audience and artist was palpable as they engrossed them with their performances.

Bass guitarist Sheldon D’silva received huge applause from the Nagpurians with his style of playing. But how can a Night end without performing on bollywood songs.

Chaurasia and Das played up few Bollywood songs on their instruments like ‘Tum itna jo muskura rahe ho’, ‘Chhookar mere mann ko ‘, ‘Pal Pal dil ke pass’, ‘Hathon se Chhu lo tum’ and many more.

The performance was concluded with ‘Funky Monkey’.

The wait was finally over for all the fans and youths as the ace drummer Shivmani who can definitely be described as a man with impeccable talent entertained Nagpurians with his solo performance.

His graceful performance with various instruments stole away everybody’s heart as each instruments created a perfect symphony to loud for an encore. A perfect show it was!
