Nagpur/Mumbai: Amit, the 25-year old son of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, is all set to tie the nuptial knot with Mitali Borude, a fashion designer from Mumbai.
The engagement ceremony is scheduled to be held on Monday evening at Raj Thackeray’s residence, Krishna Kunj in Dadar. Notably, December 11 is also the birthday of Raj Thackeray. Borude, a close friend of Thackeray’s daughter Urvashi, had together launched a ready to wear label – ‘The Rack’ few years back. All eyes are the list of guests who would be gracing the glittering ceremony.
Amit has shied away from politics unlike his cousin Aditya, son of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, who ensured his son’s debut in politics a grand way, in 2010. However, Amit had jumped in the campaign trail during the 2014 Assembly election and sought votes for his father’s MNS.
Amit is a Commerce Graduate from the local Ruparel College.There are rumours that he will enter politics soon.
