Nagpur: True to the Met Department forecast, rains returned with all its full post Friday noon, lashing many parts of the city. However it lasted for few minutes and only added to humidity.
The weather department has predicted for widespread rains in Vidarbha in the next 24 hours.
It all started Thursday morning with slight drizzling. Meanwhile making the way for the dark doom spell, blue skies faded into the black and unleashed a heavy spell of rain for few minutes.
Assistant Meteorologist-I Siraj Khan said that the rains were not as expected by the department. Many parts of Vidarbha remained away from the fresh spell of rains.
In Nagpur, though there are possibilities for heavy downpour but there are bleak chances to get respite from humidity.
He said now the low pressure area lies over Odisha and adjoining Jharkhand and extends up to 3.1 km above mean sea level.
However he warned of heavy rainfall at isolated places over Vidarbha. Besides, rain and thundershower would occur at many places over Vidarbha, he added.
