Nagpur: The rains regained strength in Nagpur since Tuesday evening as low to heavy spells of rainfall were reported in several areas of the city. The Regional MET office here has warned of heavy rainfall over the next 24 hours. The data available with Nagpur Today shows heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places in Nagpur.
MET official told Nagpur Today that 7.5 mm rainfall has been recorded from 8.30 am on Tuesday to 8.30 am on Wednesday.
As a precautionary measure, few schools have been reportedly closed for Wednesday, however there was no official announcement on declaring holiday the education department. “We have alerted warning of heavy rainfall and to declare holiday is the collector’s call”, a weatherman to NT.
