Nagpur/Gondia: “Jako Rakhe Saiyan, Mar Sake Na Koy …” This proverb came true in the Jodhpur-Puri Express (train number 20814) on Sunday June 19.
Seeing the woman suffering from labour pain in coach number 6 of the moving train, Thakur Ashutosh Singh of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, who was travelling in the train, informed the Karni Sena Gondia team that pregnant woman is suffering from labour pain and it is very necessary to take her off at Gondia. The TC also informed the Gondia Railway Police about the pregnancy.
When the Jodhpur-Puri Express train reached Platform No. 4 of Gondia, coach number 6 was attended by Sub-Inspector Mayank Mishra, female Sub-Inspector Sonam, female constable Jyoti Bala and force members under the guidance of Sub-Inspector CKP Tambhurnekar and the pregnant passenger Minati Mirdha (33), native of village Baleshwar, Orissa) was immediately admitted to Gondia District Women’s BGW Hospital and immediate delivery of the woman was done where both mother and child are healthy.
It is learnt that there was a stir in the Jodhpur-Puri Express on Sunday, June 19, when a pregnant woman suddenly started having labour pain during the journey. In such a situation, the Karni Sena worker present in the train informed the Gondia workers. As soon as the news was received, information was exchanged with the Railway Police who arranged an ambulance and admitted the woman in the hospital.
Railway Police and Shri Rashtriya Karni Sena have set a unique example of humanity to save the pregnant woman and her newborn.
