    Pune University student dies of heart attack at university hostel

    Pune: A second year commerce student at the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) died of a heart attack on Monday morning at the university hostel, a statement issued by the university said.

    Hrushikesh Aher, originally from Ghargaon in Sangamner, Ahmednagar was staying at hostel number 4, room number 15. Around 6.30 am on Monday, Aher started feeling uneasy and cried for help when neighbouring students rushed towards him.

    The security guards also reached his room and Aher was taken to the university health centre. The doctors at the health centre then shifted him to Sassoon Hospital citing serious deterioration in health. At the Sasoon Hospital, Aher took last breath while doctors were treating him, added the statement.
