Nagpur:
Former Director General of Police (DGP) Praveen Dixit has said that active participation of people in the process of Police Public Co-ordination can help in controlling crime. This has been proved by work of Police-Public Coordinators and Police Mitras in several cities. State Co-ordinator of Police-Public Co-ordination Committee Praveen Raut recently met Dixit in city and informed him about the problems being faced by people.

He also requested Dixit to guide the participants at State-level meet of the Committee, to be held at Adyal tekdi. Raut also demanded that free education should be provided to the wards of police personnel, for reducing stress on them. He requested the former top cop to make efforts towards it. Dixit also appealed to the people to become Police ‘Mitra’ and use ‘Damini’ App for security purpose.
