Provide all facilities to followers visiting Dragon Palace Temple: Bawankule

Nagpur: Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Monday reviewed facilities to be provided to lakhs of followers of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar who would be visiting Dragon Palace Temple in Kamptee for Dhammachakra Pravartan Din celebration on Thursday, October 18. “Around 2 lakh followers are likely to visit Dragon Palace Temple. The authorities should put all facilities in place so that no follower would face any hardship,” Bawankule directed the administration.

The review meeting was held at the hall of Dragon Palace Temple on Monday afternoon. Adv Sulekha Kumbhare, Member of National Minorities Commission and former minister, who attended the meeting, demanded all necessary facilities for the visiting followers. Others present in the meeting include Sub-Divisional Officer Vandana Sagarpatte, PWD Engineer Subhash Allewar, MSEDCL Engineer Yogesh Amzare, Sub-District Hospital’s Dr Shraddha Bhajipale, Dr Shabnam Khanuni, Nagar Parishad CEO Nitin Chavan, Health Inspector Vijay Methia, Water Supply Officer Sagar Gund, Revenue Department’s Ganesh Jamdade and officials of MSRTC.

MSEDCL, Khaparkheda, is installing three stalls for supply of pure drinking water. The bottled drinking water will be provided free of cost to followers. Temporary electricity towers are being erected in the premises of Dragon Palace Temple by MSEDCL, Koradi. Arrangement for 24 hour water supply will be made at the place. Water Works Department is making arrangements to provide 24 hour drinking water and will be deploying water tankers. A number of temporary water connections will be provided at various places.

Dustbins, containers, waste boxes are to be placed majority of the areas. Water will be made easily available for devotees using toilets, bathrooms and at other places. The eatery vendors, tea stalls have been asked to drop plastic plates, glasses and other garbage at specified places.
