Nagpur: While Maharashtra celebrated its State स्थापना दिवस with enthusiasm across the state, Nagpur witnessed strong protests as voices demanding a separate Vidarbha state grew louder.
On Friday morning, a large number of youths gathered at Samvidhan Square from different parts of the city. The protest quickly intensified as demonstrators assembled with black flags and released black balloons into the air, symbolically opposing the Maharashtra Day celebrations.
Raising slogans and marching through the area, the protesters expressed their dissatisfaction and reiterated their long-standing demand for a separate Vidarbha state. The demonstration led to a tense atmosphere at one of the city’s key locations, drawing attention from authorities and passersby.
The demand for Vidarbha statehood has been a recurring issue in the region, and the Maharashtra Day protest once again highlighted the growing sentiment among sections of the youth.
