Monsoon Session Day 8 : Govt run-hostel employees protest for uniform pay

Nagpur: The ongoing monsoon session of State Assembly continued to witness chaos as it entered the eighth day on Wednesday. Many organisations hit city streets to agitate and raise their voice to support their demand for uniform and equal pay scale.

Maharashtra Rajya Anudanit Vastigruha Magaswargiya Karmachari Saghatna, Maharashtra Rajya Grampanchayat Karmachari Mahasangh, Maharashtra Rajya Bina Anudanit Shala Kruti Samiti were the organisations which staged protest to press their demands on Wednesday.

A total of 8104 employees are employed in 2388 Government funded hostels without minimum pay scale. Following lackadaisical attitude of the state government, Maharashtra Rajya Anudanit Vastigruha Mahaswargiya Karmachari Saghatna staged demonstration to demand pension post their retirement along with other allowances and most importantly implementation of pay scale for every employee of the organization.

Similar demands were also raised by Professor Tanaji Thomre who led the protest by Maharashtra Rajya Grampanchayat Karmachari Mahasangh and S U Mahaskar who represented Maharashtra Rajya Bina Anudanit Shala Kruti Samiti along with hundreds of members of the organizations demonstrate their strength.
