Property Fraud : Man duped of Rs 12 lakh in Sakkardara, 5 booked

Nagpur: Sakkardara police have rounded up five men for allegedly duping a middle aged man to the tune of Rs 12 lakh on the pretext of selling a property between May 2016 and June 2016.

The accused have been identified as Mateen Khan resident of Bidipeth, Bunty alias Siraj Khan, Rajesh Pandurang Malboinwar both resident of Ramkrushna Nagar, Sanju Chanekar and Rahul Dahake.

According to the complainant Prakash Laxman Parate (50) resident of 18 A, Ayodhya Nagar, he met all the accused back in May 2016. The accused showed him a furnished flat and introduced themselves as owners. After Prakash showed interest in the flat, the deal was struck at Rs 22 lakh.

Complainant paid Rs 12 lakh advance and agreed to pay remaining amounts through cheques. However when the accused did not give the possession of the flat and sought more time on the pretext of paper works, Prakash grew suspicious. When he investigated the matter he learnt that, the accused used forged documents to sell flat to him.
He then approached to Sakkardara police station and filed a complaint of fraud against the accused.

Sakkardara police have booked all the accused under section 419, 420, 365, 367, 368, 417, 120 (B) and 506 of IPC and started the investigation.
