Property dispute turns ugly: family member sets house on fire

Nagpur: Greed for money and property makes people stoop down to any extent. In a similar incident that occurred on April 12, 2016 in MIDC area, a family member set the house in which he was living in a fit of rage.

According to sources, the four residents of the house include:

  1. Rekha
  2. Rajini
  3. Devanand and
  4. Raju

One of the two women injured in the fire Rekha or Rajini is the wife of Raju. Raju (Brother-in-law of Devanand) has been demanding the transfer of the property in his name. However, the real owner of the property, Devanand was opposing the transfer of the property in the name of the Raju.

On April 12, 2016, Raju had a hot discussion with Devanand and Raju kept demanding the transfer of the property in his name. Soon the wordy duel turned ugly and the culprit Raju set the goods in the house afire.

The MIDC Police reached the spot immediately after receiving the news and with the help of Fire department doused the fire.

All the four residents of the house received minor burn injuries to their limbs but escaped any major fatality. The injured are undertaking treatment at Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Digdoh, Hingna Road.

Assistant Police Inspector Godbole has registered a case against Raju under Sections 436, 336 and 427 of Indian Penal Code and is investigating further. Raju has not been arrested so far.

Till the time of filing the story further details were yet to be ascertained.
