The State Board Examination (X) is having numerous problems but there is no solution in the sight. Though the examination is fast approaching the concerned teachers are yet to get bar codes, stickers etc. The admission cards problem has left the students, examinees and the concerned schools in jeopardy.
As per information received there are many mistakes of photo, names, signature, subjects etc in the printed admit cards. The divisional board has asked the schools to conduct re-examination. The school administration is saying that it is for the first time that so many mistakes have come to light. When the students should concentrate on their studies they are making rounds of the school and we are rushing to the board office every now and then say school administrations.
The informed sources have disclosed that this year the contract of preparing admit cards is given to some new company. The company staff was not aware of the working of the board. There were problems in forms scanning. Thereafter all the data got corrupted, which caused great problems at the eleventh hour. There were efforts to correct the mistakes in the admit cards but due to the rush more and more mistakes crept in.
So the obvious thing happened, instead of roll numbers the students were required to write their names on the answer sheets at the time of practical examinations. The X standard practical exams will continue till February 28. Thereafter from March 3 to 27 the written exam is scheduled to be held.
The problems at the XII board exam are also well known now. That the students received their admit cards on February 5 when the actual exam started on February 6 that is only a day before they could get their hall tickets.
But despite all this, the secretary of the board, Anil Pardhi has claimed that the admit cards will be issued prior to examination and all the required instructions have been given to the concerned people.
