Nagpur: The court of 2nd additional chief magistrate P S Kale has directed the Ambazari police to initiate inquiry against the assistant commissioner of Dharampeth zone of NMC Rajesh Karade under section 202 for knowingly failing to remove encroachments in his zone.
The court has asked the Ambazari police to submit a report to it in this matter. A vigilant citizen of Shankar Nagar Ritesh Sharma had filed a petition in this regard. The next hearing in the case will be held on November 4.
The petition states that Ritesh Sharma had purchased a property near Shankar Nagar garden belonging to one Ashok Kate on November 27, 2014. A generator and PVC shed have also been installed in the property.
Sharma had made a complaint at Dharampeth zone regarding this. The encroachment was inspected by a team from the zone. However, no action was initiated in the matter.
