Principal, 2 others booked for causing death of 13-yr old boy negligently

Sitabuldi police have booked Principal of a mentally challenged children’s school and two others on the charges of causing death of a 13-year old boy negligently.

On August 23, 2016 around 10.30 am, the deceased Harsh Dilip Lalke (13), resident of 225/A, behind KRIMS Hospital, Ramdaspeth, was playing in the premises of NMC School, near Lendra Park. While playing, Harsh came in contact with a loose and unguarded electric wire and received shock of his life. The unconscious Harsh was taken to a nearby private hospital where doctors had pronounced him brought dead. Sitabuldi police at that time had registered a case of accidental death and launched an in-depth investigation into the matter.

The probe revealed that accused Principal of Samvedna Swamagna Children’s School (school for mentally challenged (Autism) children) Jyoti Falke (65), resident of Damodar Layout, Surendra Nagar, and two other accused Mohd Ubed Mohd Qasim (54) of Garibnawaz Nagar and Ramanmonohar Laxman Jambutkar (45) of Mahanand Nagar, Dighori, were found careless and negligent while setting up electric connection in the premises. The earthing wire was left loose and unguarded resulting in Harsh receiving shock and ultimately dying of the trauma.

Based on the investigation and a complaint lodged by Dilip Baburao Lalke (51), Sitabuldi PSI Gedam has booked the three accused under Section 304(A) of the IPC and launched further probe.
