Prime Time Crime# Youth murdered at Khamla square; bus drivers attacked at Krida square

IMG_3911Nagpur: Adding up to the alarming increase in Nagpur’s crime graph, two raged youths hacked another to death on Monday night at around 10 pm at Khamla square under Pratap Nagar police station. The deceased identified as Chetan Adagale, 25, resident of Shiv Nagar near Khamla square. Both the accused identified as Suraj Gaikwad and Ashish are reportedly at large.

Police sources informed that Chetan who worked at an automobile company was standing at a pan stall when the accused Gaikwad and Ashish were said to be indulging in a spat. Chetan tried to intervene but it boomeranged as the accused left their quarrel behind and instead entered into a heated exchange with him. Suraj got so fumed with Chetan’s interference that he pulled out a knife and stabbed him. Both the accused fled the spot as Chetan succumbed to his injuries.

Bus drivers attacked
In another incident around the same time at Krida Square under Ajni police station, two identified accused reportedly attacked two Star bus drivers with a knives and fled away.

Sources said bus driver Suresh was returning from Pipla and heading towards Sitabuldi at around 10.45 pm when two bike borne youths stopped the bus mid-way at Krida square and started hurling abuses at Suresh. Meanwhile, the driver of another bus moving from Sitabuldi to Pipla also stopped there and tried to intervene, which made both the accused furious and they attacked both with knife and slipped into the dark of the night.
