The college fest of Shri Ramdeobaba College Of Management and Engineering (SRCOEM)-Pratishruti 2013 organized a Hasya Kavi Sammelan today in the college premises for students and staff members. Talents from Nagpur-Shri Ashok Nagar, Shri Devendra ‘Natkhat’, Shri Saten Verma, Shrimati Archana ‘Archan’ and senior master Prof. Ompal Singh ‘Nidar’ entertained the crowds with some of their best poems exhibiting their wit and wisdom through their poetry.
While there were some poets like Archana and Saten Verma who also displayed a musical touch in their poems, Natkhat was applauded for his satirical quotes. From politics to Bollywood, Natkhat had a very ‘Hindustani’ flavour in his poems. The ‘kavis’ on the stage did not keep their spontaneity to themselves and floored the crowds with laughter when they commented on each other. The very typical man-woman ‘jugal-bandi’ between Natkhat and Archan added a ‘tadka’ in the magnificent evening. Prof. Ompal aka Nidar was constantly referred to as ‘Professorji’ throughout the recitals. The audience rolled with laughter while students enjoyed this very different mood in their college fest, like never seen before. 
Among the dignitaries and chief guests present at the event were former M.P. and Chairman SRCOEM Banwarilalji Pruohit, Vice President Chandrakant Bhai Thakkar, General Secretary Govindlalji Agrawal, Gangaramji Agrawal, Joint Secretary Shri Rajendra Purohit, Mandir Chairman Shri Pradip Agrawal, Shri Sanjay Agrawal and Hostel Chairman Pradip Mehadia.
Other elimination rounds that took place throughout the day included paper presentation, poker, monopoly and box cricket. The final round of the singing competition Vibrato was conducted today and the results are to be announced tomorrow.
