Nagpur: Campaigning launched by Praful Gudadhe Patil, nominee of Congress from South-West Nagpur constituency for Assembly election, has started gathering steam. Praful, who is claiming to be fighting for “truth” and not for “power,” took out a “Padayatra” and established direct interaction with people and appealed them to vote for Congress and the development.
Praful Gudadhe Patil’s “Padayatra” began early in the morning at 8 with garlanding of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s statue at Mate Square and then crisscrossed Gopal Nagar, Padole Layout, Naik Layout, Srinagar, Parsodi covering every street and corner. Every area welcomed the Congress candidate with womenfolk performing the traditional “Aarti” and blessing him for success in the poll fray. Several people put their problems before Praful Gudadhe and he too instantly assured to resolve them. Praful, during his campaign, visited Boudha Vihar in Parsodi and paid his obeisance to Tathagat Gautam Buddha and Dr Ambedkar.
Addressing the people, Praful Gudadhe Patil reminded them that the areas of Gopal Nagar, Subhash Nagar, Sonegaon, Jaitala were always a stronghold of Congress and maximum Corporators of the party emerged victorious from these areas. Vikas Thakre, Prasanna Borkar, Prerna Kapse, Ujwala Bankar, Rekha Barahate, and Rajashree Pannase are prominent among them, said Praful and added that he too will carve out a win in the Assembly election.
Praful Gudadhe Patil was accompanied by Thool Guruji, Corporators Prasanna Borkar, Prerna Kapse, Ujwala Bankar and Chaure Kaka, Mama Gawande, Kale Kaka, Bhoge, Ughde, Khergade, Jagtap, Kadwe, Nagrale, Bawne, Kanaujia, Mahalle, Dakhole, Bhusari, Khawse, Robert Vanjari, Pankaj Nighot, Sandesh Thool, Virendra Rangari, Vishal Waghmare and other hundreds of workers.
