Nagpur News: Maintaining security of Vidhan Bhavan, the power centre of Maharashtra Government in the Second Capital, has thrown a major challenge to State Police, and also raised questions over efficiency of the police. The sprawling building becomes the hot spot during winter session of Maharashtra Assembly and is visited by top guns of all political parties, hundreds other prominent personalities.

However, at present, neither the Winter Session is going on nor top guns are visiting the Vidhan Bhavan. But the security issue has come alive with the recovery of a “Desi Katta” (Country-made pistol) dug up very near to Vidhan Bhavan and the crowded Meetha Neem Baba Dargah. The weapon was hidden in the dug up hole by an accused Wasim Chirya involved in the gang war in Shanti Nagar a month ago. ( Related News)
