Police chief lauds Nagpur’s unsung hero Jagdish Khare for diving deep into humanity!

Nagpur: Jagdish Khare, a diver from Nagpur has been serving the human cause with his selfless service of saving people from drowning, fishing out the dead bodies from city lakes and now providing a free transport service to move unclaimed dead bodies to the dignified end. Jagdish recently won accolodes for his commendable services towards the mankind and he was rewarded with cash honor of Rs 5 lakh at the hands of none other than Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar. Morever Nagpur police commissioner K. Venkatesham also heaped praises on Khare for his selfless services. The police chief viewed that Khare has turned as a role model to inspire the people to serve social cause.

Jagdish Khare is an expert diver and swimmer who has been putting his efforts together to save the lives of people attempting suicide in city’s Gandhi Sagar lake. He also helps police in fishing out dead bodies of those drowned in the lakes. Till date Khare has pulled out 2000 dead bodies from various lakes in the city besides contributing his bit in cleaning the lakes especially after Ganesh and Navratri festivals.

Khare showed his compassion towards the unclaimed dead bodies as he invested the amount of Rs 5 lakh which he got from Akshay Kumar. He bought a van to transport such dead bodies and also to those injured in road accidents, without any cost.
