Nagpur: Acting on a tip-off, Gittikhadan police on Friday rounded up a notorious goon and seized one pistol, magazine and two live cartridges from his possession.
A team of policeme was on patrol duty in Gittikhadan area on Friday afternoon. The cops received inputs from informants that the accused goon named Himanshu Jagdish Kanoujiya (19), resident of Sadar, was in possession of a country-made katta (pistol), a magazine and two live cartridges. Acting swiftly, the team of cops reached the spot and rounded up Himanshu. Upon frisking, the cops found him in possession of one pistol worth Rs 10,000 and two bullets worth Rs 400.
Gittikhadan police have booked the accused Himanshu Kanoujiya under Section 3+25 of Arms Act read with Sub-Section 135 of Maharashtra Police Act and placed him under arrest.
