    Nagpur:
A married woman who is doing PhD from Nagpur University was robbed of her gold chain worth Rs 75,000 by a motorcycle-borne goon on Ambazari Hilltop Road here on Friday night.

Mrunal Milind Yavalkar (41), resident of Plot No. 147, Amardhan Laxmi Apartment, Ambazari Hilltop, was returning home around 8.30 pm on Friday after purchasing fruits from Gokulpeth Market. Mrunal, who is doing PhD from RTMNU, was riding Scooty moped (MH-31/CX 1856). When she was nearing her home, an unidentified miscreant riding a white-coloured two-wheeler came from behind and snatched gold chain worth Rs 75,000 Mrunal was wearing. The chain-snatcher speeded away even before Mrunal could raise an alarm. The only thing she could do was to approach Ambazari police and register a case in this connection.

API Mandal has booked the unidentified robber under Section 392 of IPC and searching for him.
