Pharmacists to act as educators for people with diabetes

Nagpur News : On the occasion of 65th Republic Day, Diabetologist Dr Sunil Gupta, spoke at Nagpur Druggist And Chemists Association (NDCA) recently.

The social educational activity was planned by NDCA president Ravi Goyal for the pharmacy professionals who directly deal with ‘People with Diabetes’ regularly. The NDCA body planned to celebrate the Republic day celebration with the noble thought of educational activity.

Dr Sunil Gupta spoke on the topic Hello Diabetes:Role of chemists as an Educator. He emphasised that we need to have more and more people from pharmacy background to teach people with diabetes at chemist level and at retail counter.

Dr Gupta strongly appealed to the pharmacist to take the initiative role to spread awareness which may prevent unnecessary premature sufferings among diabetes “Most of the complications of diabetes are preventable at initial stage,” he added.

At the end of the session, NDCA president Ravi Goyal, secretary Girish Bhattad and all the chemist society promised to become a successful diabetes educator and said that they will put untiring efforts in their profession to make the society healthy, wealthy and wise.

Vivek Nagrare, Prashant Ramteke, Pankaj Walde, Shahjad Sheikh, Mohan Agrawal, Neeta Agencies, JCI Nagpur, Goyal Brothers and various organisations worked hard for it’s grand success.
