Petty argument ends with murder in Nandanvan area

murder_logo (1)Nagpur News: A petty argument over preparation of food led to a murder of a 55-year-old man by his relative under the jurisdiction of Nandanvan police station area on Tuesday evening.

Accused Amrut Dighore, a resident of Prajapati Nagar, has been absconding. The deceased Gomaji Nagpure, a resident of Mauli in Ramtek was assaulted by sharp weapon in presence of other family members. He was declared brought dead by the doctors at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

According to the police, Nagpure had come to city for a relative’s last rituals in Pardi. Dighore had invited his son-in-law Raju, son of Gomaji Nagpure, for a dinner on Tuesday evening. Police informed that Raju wanted to have dinner cooked by his sister-in-law which led to an argument between Raju and Dighore.

Later, Raju called his father Gomaji and brother at Dighore’s residence. The argument turned into a major fight. During the tussle, Dighore stabbed Gomaji on his chest, causing his death.

A murder case has been registered.
