Petrol Prices in Nagpur to increase by Rs 3 from today as VAT rate hiked

Nagpur: Petrol price in Nagpur and the state of Maharashtra will increase by rupees 3 beginning from Saturday as VAT rate is hiked by the state government. Now with this implementation, one has to shell out rupees 3 extra for a litre of petrol.

As per Times of India, the Maharashtra government increase the VAT on a litre from Friday midnight, however, Diesel price was set to remain stable as there was no rise on VAT for it. This amounts to 21 per cent plus rupees 2 for the remaining state and 24 per cent plus rupees 2 for Mumbai zone.
