Nagpur: In a bid to strengthen water supply in the areas of Gittikhadan ESR, Orange City Water (OCW) has planned an interconnection of 1400X 600 mm dia feeder line Pench-2 Water Treatment Plant (WTP) at Gorewada. For this OCW has planned to take 12 hours shutdown of Pench- 2 Water Treatment Plant (WTP) from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on 11th September 2018 (Tuesday). Following this shutdown areas in Laxmi Nagar Zone , Dharampeth Zone, Ghandhibagh Zone, parts of Mangalwari and Hanuman Nagar Zone will remain affected.
While at the same time, Maharashtra State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has asked for 6-hours shutdown at Kanhan Water Treatment Plant to carry out some electrical technical work. Shutdown will take place from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM on 11th of September following which evening supply from Kanhan WTP at Lakadganj, Aasinagar, Satranjipura, Nehru Nagar Zones will remain affected
ESRs to Remain Affected following Pench -2 WTP and Kanhan WTP shutdown are:
Following 12-hours Pench -2 WTP shutdown the zones of West, South, South-West & Central Nagpur including Laxmi Nagar Zone , Dharampeth Zone, Ghandhibagh Zone, parts of Mangalwari and Hanuman Nagar Zone are : Hanuman Nagar Zone (Chinchbhavan ESR), Dharampeth Zone (Dabha ESR, Wadi ESR, Seminary Hills ESR, Ram Nagar ESR & GSR,IBM Rifle Line, Futala line), laxmi Nagar Zone ( Gyatri nagar, Pratap nagar, Khamla , Laxmi Nagar Old, Takli sim, Jaitala sump), Mangalwari Zone(Gittikhadan GRS, Seminary Hills GSR), Ghandhibagh Zone(Sitabuldi Fort -1 &2, Khadan/Boripura ESR, Boriyapura Feeder main supply).
While during Kanhan WTP shutdown the evening water supply at zones of East & North Nagpur Lakadganj, Aasinagar, Satranjipura, Nehru Nagar Zones will remain affected are : Bhandewadi ESR, Deshpande Layout ESR ( Bharatwada), Lakadganj, Lakadganj Zone: Minimata Nagar, Subhan Nagar, Kalamana ESR and Pardi I , II ESR. Binaki Asi Nagar Zone: (Mahendra Nagar), Binaki I, II, Gamdoor DT, Aaakashwani DT, Jaswant Mall DT, Itabhatti Chowk DT. Shanti Nagar ESR, Wanjari, Bastarwadi, 10 No Puliya DT, Satranjipura Zone: Indora Square DT. Nandanvan OLD, I & II ESR;s Sakkardara I, II, III, Nehru Nagar Zone: Tajbagh ESR, Kharabi DT and Bhande Plot DT.
The citizen are requested to make required water storage in advance as water through tankers shall not be supplied to the affected areas during the shutdown period.
However, it must be mentioned here, during this shutdown other water treatment plants like Pench- I, Pench- III, and Pench-IV at Godhani will remain fully operational..
