Passionate dancers and DID fame Dharmesh overwhelm Nagpur Folks

Nagpur saw its passionate dancers set the stage on fire yet again at the open dance competition ‘Dance K Superstars Season-2’ that received a tremendous response! The grand finale took place at Dinanath School Ground on Thursday. The crowd eagerly awaited and finally ran crazy when the Indian dancer and choreographer, the Dance India Dance fame Dharmesh Yelande, popularly known in the dance world as ‘Dharmesh Sir’ arrived as the special guest.

Dharmesh sirDharmesh was seen enjoying the dance performances and the warm response by the Nagpur dance enthusiasts. He even hooted for and greeted a few performers with his signature salute that displayed his involvement and passion for dance.

The show was organized by Blossom Dance Academy and Ravi Bahuddeshiya Shaikshanik Sanstha under the aegis of Ravi Gujar, Manish Patil and Dr Ashok Kapta.

The event saw the presence of the chief guests BJP Corporater Sandeep Joshi, President of ICHR Arup Mukherjee and South West Vice President BJP Mandar Chitaley. The principals of Dinanath School Mrs Roy and Trupti Ghosh remained present throughout the event and affirmed their full support.

Out of 268 participants enrolling from the very first round of selection, 65 performed on the final day, including solo, duet and group performances. The performers were categorically divided as the ‘New Comers’ and ‘Professionals’, and were judged accordingly by the Nagpur dancing expert Shubhlaxmi, Nivedita Majumdar, Sumit and Sunny.

The first three winners of the competition received prizes of Rs 5000, Rs 3000 and Rs 1500, resp. along with three consolation prizes. The first three winners of each group were presented with the signature trophies handed over by Dharmesh Sir.

The crowd was much enthused due to anchoring by Ishani Nilajkar. Rahil Ansaari’s hilarious yet romantic performance was immensely appreciated. The power went off for a while, but failed to reduce the charisma of the entire event, which continued in a flow throughout.

Dharmesh in an exclusive chat with Nagpur Today opened his heart out and expressed his love for Nagpur Folks quoting-“The finale at Mumbai, and that in Nagpur has no difference. The talent is equally incredible. The best part about the Nagpur crowd is that its Crazy just like I am! That’s how I am connecting so well with this place. In future I would definitely visit Nagpur and organize my workshops here.. SIMPLY LOVE YOU NAGPUR!”
