Nagpur: Even as the busy festive travel season has commenced, the Indian Railways is going ahead with plans to take up expansion work and for the same, several long distance Mail/Express trains are being cancelled.
The blocks are being taken at Khapri in Nagpur Division and IB station over Raipur and Jharsuguda section of South East Central Railway (SECR). At Khapri, Central Railway is taking up yard modification and commissioning of electronic interlocking at Khapri Station of the final phase work of PCPK Siding.
Non-Interlock work is planned on September 26 and for the same, trains are Short Terminated/ Origination during the period: Train no. 11039 (Kolhapur-Gondia) Maharashtra Exp. for train journey commencing on 24 and 25 will be short terminated at Wardha station on September 25 and 26 respectively. Train No. 11040 (Gondia-Kolhapur) Maharashtra Exp. will originate Ex. Wardha station on September 26 & 27.
