Panchpaoli cops solve house-breaking case within hours, arrest two burglars

Nagpur: Panchpaoli police solved a house-breaking case within hours and arrested two accused with high caliber alertness.

The case pertains to a house-breaking occurred on February 6 (Saturday). The victim house owner Sushil Satyanarayan Gore (52), resident of Plot No. 161, Ashok Nagar, Panchpaoli, along with family, had gone to attend marriage of a relative at Jashna Lawn on Kamptee Road around 7 pm on February 6. When the Gore family returned home at about 0230 hours of Sunday, they found lock of door broken. A scrutiny of house revealed that gold ornaments worth Rs 61,500 and cash of Rs 2000 stolen from an almirah. Panchpaoli cops had registered an offence under Sections 457, 380 of IPC on the basis of a complaint lodged by Sushil Gore.

When the investigating team reached the spot, the cops found footprints of the suspects at the spot. The cops lifted the footprints and launched a search of the suspects. During the search, cops noticed two suspicious persons standing near a water tank in Mahendra Nagar. A finger of one of the persons was found stained with mud. The two persons were immediately detained and subjected to intense questioning.

The grilling revealed their names as Naeem Khan Rahim Khan (30) and Sheikh Riyaz Sheikh Razzaq (30), both residents of Bada Tajbagh. The footprints found at the crime spot and the mud stained boots of the suspects perfectly matched. On further questioning, the two suspects confessed their role in the burglary at Sushil Gore’s house. Naeem and Sheikh were immediately placed under arrest and gold ornaments including two mangalsutras worth Rs 80,000, a silver coint worth Rs 1200, a knife were seized from their possession.

The action was initiated under the directives of Zone-2 DCP, ACP Panchpaoli, Senior PI R T Bahadure by API Arjun Ghodepatil and his team.
