Genesis Hospital in collaboration with Arya Charitable Trust, Nagpur and Shri Sant Acchyutrao Maharaj Heart Hospital, Amravati held a free cardiac screening camp on recently at Genesis Hospital, near Sunder Furniture, Lokmat Chowk , Nagpur. Apart from offering free echocardiograms and consultations, they also offered guidance for interventional procedures at various hospitals in Nagpur and Amravati depending on patient’s preference. The intention of this camp held was not only to help patients with proper guidance, but also to spread awareness regarding work that is in progress in congenital heart diseases in central India.
Dr. Abhay Bhoyar, Paediatric Heart Consultant and Director of Genesis Hospital, examined over 200 kids up to age of 18 years and advised appropriate course of action for the ailments detected. A Few below poverty line patients were listed for management under Rajiv Gandhi Jeevan Dayi Yojana for which all out assistance is available at the Hospital. Parents of suspected heart ailments drawn from all over Vidarbha and neighbouring districts attended the camp. They were happy that no more they will be looking to mega metro cities for their health problems with congenital heart disease. Along with the volunteers of above two trusts, Staff and technicians of Genesis Hospital toiled hard to make the camp success.
