Jaideep is son of MLC Jogendra Kawade, President of People’s Republic Party
Nagpur: Congress candidate in Nagpur Lok Sabha seat Nana Patole on Tuesday stoked a major controversy by patting the back of son of an MLC for making indecent remarks against BJP leader Smriti Irani. The action of Patole sparked strong reaction from women.
The comments were made by Jaideep Kawade, son of MLC Jogendra Kawade who is also President of People’s Republic Party. The outrageous statement was made by Jaideep Kawade during Patole’s public meeting organised in Bagadganj area of the city on Monday. The controversial remarks of Kawade have gone viral in social media. The public meeting was also addressed by MPCC President Ashok Chavan but he had already left the stage when Jaideep Kawade made the objectionable statement against Smriti Irani.
While addressing the public meeting, Jaideep Kawade said, “Smriti Irani applies a big kumkum on her forehead. When we dug out information, we came to know that she applies bigger and bigger kumkum in proportion to her number of husbands.
Smriti Irani sits with Gadkari in embracing position and speaks about amendments in Constitution. But Smriti Irani should know that changing Constitution is not as easier as changing husbands.” Surprisingly, several women workers of Congress were present at the public meeting and were seen disapproving the comments of Kawade.
What was most shocking that Nana Patole was seen asking Jaideep Kawade to seat beside him and patting his back for his remarks.
