Nagpur News: The Reddish-Orange Sun Set of 2013 witnessed the dawn of a flurry of vivacious hustle-bustle, trademark of this date and the Orange City, too, turned bubbling, sparkling, full of fun, dynamic and high-spirited. The streets, scenic places, homes, brightly illuminated hotels and bars were thronged by citizens with age no bar.
The cries of “Happy New Year” reverberated in every corner of the city. And the celebrations followed. A group of youths formed 2 0 1 4 and thus greeting and wishing people of this historic city the New Year in their style.
The foreigners, who have made the Orange City their home away from home, wished the citizens of Second Capital a Happy New Year in their respective languages. The young girls from different countries added an aura to the atmosphere of joy and filled the air with lovely flavour.
The picturesque Futala Lake blossomed with Reveler Rush with vibrant and vivid balloons and attires. The cherishing moments were to be seen and were to be believed. The jumping and dancing with balloons and broad smile on faces enlivened the gala only to be matched with Mother Nature’s scenic beauty. Every minute would be treasured by the one and all throughout the New Year till the last Sun Set and Dawn of the next year.
The safety and security is a must for any celebration. And that was not missing. The stone-faced police personnel were ensuring every moment passes off in tune with the atmosphere of gaiety. The “spirit” must not cross the limits and the policemen perfectly knew how to maintain the level. Nobody will mind it. After all, it is celebration time, and there is no place for party pooper (Kabab me haddi or spoiler of party).
The citizens, however, were overwhelmed when the same stone-faced policemen went rosy. Hundreds of road users were greeted and wished Happy New Year by the Nagpur police by offering roses. An excellent gesture. Thanks. Policemen dotted the major spots for security of citizens of their beloved city.
RESOLUTION:
Come the New Year celebrations, Come the Resolution time: Let our New Year’s Resolution be this: We will be there for one another as fellow members of humanity, in the finest sense of the word.
