Online admissions for Government ITI begins

Nagpur News: The online registration for admissions of the Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) in the State began on, July 10, 2014. Students aspiring to get admission in State-run Industrial Training Institutes will no longer have to stand in long queues outside application form counters since they will now be able apply online.

The students can apply online for registration till July 22, 2014. The first provisional list of the selected candidates will be announced on July 28. The official website for registration is www.dvetadmission.in. After registering online a student has to take out the print out the application and confirm it with the institute. An SMS is sent to the candidate after the confirmation of the application. The admissions for the first merit list will be till July 31.

In the first two rounds, the students can apply in the institutes situated in the districts that they are residing in. The students whose names appear in the second merit list can take admissions till August 4, 2014. The vacant seats will be announced after second round on August 5, 2014. The third list will be declared on August 10, 2014. The fourth and fifth list will be announced on August 14, 2014 and latter on August 23, 2014. Finally in the sixth round the vacant seats after fifth round will be announced.

A student who has passed his SSC or even VIIIth class passed students is eligible for getting admitted in to Industrial Training Institute. The duration of a course depends upon the trade opted by the aspirant from a basic course of one year to a diploma of 3 years. Each course is designed in such a way to impart basic skill in the trade specified.

Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) provides training for courses in electrical mechanic, Computer Hardware, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, plumber, Carpenter, diesel mechanic, Welder, electrician, fitter etc. Students who are not able to get admissions in Government ITI can apply for admissions in various other private institutes.
