One killed, two others injured in road mishap

Nagpur News: One person was killed and two others were injured seriously when the motorcycle they were riding in was hit by another motorcycle at about 2130 hours on Saturday (May 10).

According to police, the victim Bhaskar Ramesh Uike (27), resident of Police Line Takli, Quarter No. E/27/7, Pathrigad, Nagpur and two others namely Mansaram Tekchand Kaore (24) and Bastaram Tekchand Kaore (24), both natives of Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh but presently staying in Divya Nagari Godhni, were riding triple seat on their motorcycle (MH-31/CU 2933). They were proceeding towards Divya Nagari from Ganesh Temple Zingabai Takli. At the same time, another motorcycle (MH-40/C 8638) driven recklessly by an unidentified person, hit the motorcycle of the trio with an intense force.

The collision resulted in serious injuries to Bhaskar, Mansaram and Bastaram. All the three were rushed to Mayo Hospital where doctors declared Bhaskar dead while undergoing treatment while Mansaram and Bastaram are battling for life. Gittikhadan Senior PSI Bhute, on the basis of a complaint in this regard, has registered an offence under Sections 279, 334, 304 (A) of the IPC against the unidentified motorcyclist and probing the matter further.
