One-day workshop on power sector by MSEB Officers’ Assn on Sunday

Nagpur: Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) Officers’ Association, Nagpur Circle, is organizing a one-day workshop on power sector “Dhyas Navdnyanacha” here on Sunday (February 7). The workshop will be held at Hotel Ashoka, Laxminagar. The power sector is getting reformed with every passing day. A stiff competition among private companies is being witnessed in power generation, distribution and transmission. Similarly, new avenues are being opened up in non-conventional energy sector. Manpower in power sector is facing newer and newer challenges on various aspects such as changing electricity laws, power policy, recommendations of MERC, basic facilities, latest technologies etc. In the changing scenario, the need has arisen for human resources to adopt latest knowledge in power sector. The workshop is on the same line.

In the inaugural session, a host of officials including Prasad Reshme, Chief Engineer MSEDCL (Nagpur Circle), Umakant Nikhare, Chief Engineer, Koradi Thermal Power Station (Mahagenco), Milind Bahadure, Chief Engineer, Mahatransco (Nagpur Circle), Yogesh Gadkari, Chief General Manager (Information and Technology) MSEDCL, Mumbai, Rajiv Roy, President, MSEB Officers’ Association will guide the workshop on the subject “Maharashtratil Vij Kshetra – Sandhi Tatha Dhoke.”

In the first session of the workshop, Amol Maurya will express his views on the subject “Change Management” while in the second session, Abhishek Mohgaonkar will give computerized presentation on the subject “Corporate Jagatil Spardha, Aple Sthan Va Upay Yojna.” In the concluding session, Anand Kont, Deputy General Manager (Human Resources) Mahagenco and Dilip Shinde, Secretary, MSEB Officers’ Association will guide the participants.
