Nagpur: In what could be mentioned as daring act, two known offenders were carrying country made revolver (Desi Katta) and 3 rounds on their person and were moving in the city.
According to police sources, when the cops of Detective Branch of Imambada Police Station were on the night round, they noticed the two youngsters moving suspiciously. On noticing the police vehicle, they started to run raising doubts on the duo.
The cops followed them and managed to capture both the accused. On physical search of the accused, the cops found one country made revolver and 3 rounds which the cops seized.
The cops arrested both the accused, who are identified as:
- Ashish Robert Felix aged 35 years and a resident of Chandan Nagar in Imamwada area. He is said to be a known criminal and has cases including body offences registered against him.
- Ganesh alias Sonu Suresh Chandel aged 23 years and a resident of Chandan Nagar in Imamwada area.Ganesh too is said to be a known criminal and has many body offences registered against him.
Senior Police Inspector Tawde of Imamwada Police Station registered a case against both the accused under CR No 3106/16 under Sections 3 and 25 of Arms Act and is investigating further.
