In a shocking incident that has come to light, a Marathi actress was allegedly gangraped by five people in Paithan near Aurangabad.
According to reports the actor was recruited from suburban Mumbai to act in a film that was to be shot in Ambad village of Paithan tehsil in the Aurangabad district for two months. The film is titled Lahanpan (Childhood). The complaint filed by the woman states that a local director Anand Maghade has asked his friend Govind Chitlange to arrange for an actor for his film. Chitlange brought in the actress who hails from suburban Mumbai.
Ater the shooting was completed when the actress (21) contacted Chitlange for her fee, he called her to Aurangabad and later took her to a secluded place in Paithan where she was allegedly gangraped by Chitlange and four of his friends. Chitlange has been arrested while the others are still at large. The case has been transferred to the Paithan police and investigations are on.
