Nagpur News : Nagpur Municipal commissioner Shyam Wardhane, in his proposed budget has stated that `s 540 crore would earned from Octroi. But, the State government is in preparation to replace Octroi with Local Body Tax. Wardhane clearly said that Octroi is the main source of income of the NMC and therefore it has been mentioned in the civic budget.
According to Wardhane even if LBT is levied, the income of the NMC would not be reduced. The NMC administration is willing to allow LBT, Wardhane said.
