NU to implement subject-wise fees from winter examination

Nagpur: Keeping the interest of the students and their long pending demand Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University(RTMNU) has decided to levy supplementary exam fees for each subject from winter examination.

The supplemantary examination fees for all the 120 courses will be charged subject-wise. The draft of this new provision is in the final stages. Currently, the students are charged entire fees, even if they have to appear for just one subject.

What is to be noted is that along with new provision the old examination fees pattern will also continue. Now it will depend on the students to decide on which option to choose to pay the fees, informed pro vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole.

Dr Yeole further informed that subject-wise fees is implemented in all the faculties like Arts, Commerce, Science and other courses for the supplementary examination.

This was a long pending demand which was raised several times in the Senate also. A committee under the chairmanship of pro VC Dr Yeole was working on the subject-wise fees pattern. The committee’s suggestion was approved by VC Dr S P Kane.
