Nagpur: The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) should provide employment to project-affected people within eight days. The list of beneficiaries could be obtained from Mouda Sub-Divisional Officer, said Bawankule at the meeting held at Ravibhavan here on Saturday.
A social responsibility agreement has been signed with NTPC. Accordingly, the NTPC should provide jobs to those beneficiaries whose lands have been acquired for the project. There should not be any need for agitation by the project-affected people, Bawankule warned. The jobs can be provided in accordance with the educational qualifications and technical skills of the candidates, he added.
