Patna: A domino effect evident now that the RJD has also staked claim to form government in Bihar.

Seeking adoption of the Karnataka example in Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, the former deputy CM of the state said the party would be holding a one-day dharna tomorrow against the “murder of democracy in Karnataka”.

Yadav said the party has also requested the Bihar Governor to dissolve the state government. “Like in Karnataka the governor should invite the single largest party, which in Bihar is the RJD. I will meet Honourable Governor of Bihar along with MLAs as we are single largest party of Bihar,” he said.

Yadav was taking a cue from the Congress which today decided to stake claim to form government in Goa where it had emerged as the single largest party in the Assembly polls held last year.

Lalu Prasad Yadav’s RJD had emerged as the single largest party in the 2015 Bihar assembly polls with 80 seats as against JDU’s 70 seats. But the JDU allied with the BJP (53 seats) to form government.
