Now, consumers to get 9 Watt LED bulb at Rs 65 only!

In the ongoing ‘Ujala Scheme’ under Domestic Lighting Programme launched jointly by Central Power Ministry, State Government, Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) and Mahavitarn, consumers will now be provided 9 Watt LED bulb at Rs 65 only. Seven centres have been opened in the city for the purpose.

Earlier, in the Domestic Lighting Programme, consumers received 7 Watt LED bulb at Rs 100. Thereafter, the price was reduced to Rs 85. Initially, each consumer was given maximum four bulbs. Later, the number was increased to 10. Under the scheme, a total of 13,70,195 LED bulbs have been sold in Nagpur district so far.

The seven centres have been set up at Matey Square Electricity Bill Centre, Pratap Nagar, Padole Square, Hingna Naka, Mahavitaran Office at Gaddigodam, Congress Nagar Electricity Bill Centre and Katol Road Electricity Bill Centre. The 9 Watt LED bulbs have been made available at these centres. Each consumer will be given a maximum of 10 LED bulbs at the cost of Rs 65 each.
