Nagpur: The Metro construction being done beside the Ambazari Lake, which was being opposed, has received an NOC from Nagpur Municipal Corporation. NMC Commissioner, Ashwin Mudgal gave this information to Director of Majhi Metro, Brijesh Dixit in a letter.
The issue had come up after Legislator Prakash Gajhbhiye had opposed the construction. On this, CM Fadnavis had assured that the NOC will be received soon and as assured, it has now been granted. Gajbhiye had also said that he supports the metro and its planning. The pillar of reach-3 of Mahametro, was being constructed just near the Ambazari Lake, which may have proved to be a threat for its existence in future.
