NMC’s e-governance system in GTC field nominated for e-Maharashtra Award

Nagpur News: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s (NMC) e-governance system has been accepted for nomination for e-Maharashtra Award. For this award AADHAR, National Payments Corporation of India is a partner. Similarly, Yashada Pune Academic is also partner and noted companies in Maharashtra are sponsors of the award.

NMC’s e-governance nomination for the e-Maharashtra Award is in the field of Government To Citizen (GTC). Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan will inaugurate the e-Maharashtra Award function to be held on May 9 and 10, 2013 at Hotel Taj Divanta in Mumbai.

NMC’s e-governance project has been activated and now, property tax can be paid Online, lodging of complaints and the status of complaints could be known Online, building license payment and other facilities have become Online. The Online facility is available through www.nmcnagpur.gov.in web portal. All these Online facilities are carried out under the guidance of Mayor Anil Sole, NMC Commissioner Shyam Wardhane and NMC Standing Committee Chairman Avinash Thakre. Through this Online medium, bringing transparency, efficiency and people-friendly administration would be possible thus helping the citizens of Nagpur enormously.
